“Wike wants to join APC through window” – Tony Cole
Mr. Tony Cole, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has claimed that Wike wants to join the APC through the window.
The top politician in Rivers State claimed that the Rivers State governor is already having a romance with the All Progressives Congress, but he said that’s not the right means to join the opposition party in the state.
When Bola Tinubu visited Rivers State, Wike hosted him at the state house. He made it clear that he has not joined the APC at all. He even talked about the recent judgment of the Supreme Court on the naira notes.
Mr. Tony Cole emphasized that the aggrieved governors are scattered around. He explained that Seyi Makinde, Oyo State governor, has returned to the mainstream PDP while Mr. Samuel Ortom has identified with the Labour Party Peter Obi.
Mr. Cole talked on the Arise TV to make his claim. It will be recalled that the Rivers State governor Wike contested against Atiku Abubakar for the ticket of the PDP, but be lost.
Since that time Wike has become a tough torn in the flesh of the PDP and its presidential candidate. He has used all means to campaign against the presidential candidate.
Wike even revoked the initial approval that the PDP secured to use the stadium in Rivers State for campaign. Whereas he granted approval for the All Progressives Congress to use the facility free of charge.
