Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has stated the main reason he would never be in good terms with President Bola Tinubu. Mohammed, who is also the leader of the governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, is a regular critic of the president and his policies.
Bala Mohammed had come out when hosting Christian faithful during last Christmas that the president was calling for anarchy with his tax reform. He later went on to explain that he was misconstrued.
On Wednesday, the governor said that Tinubu always turns dead ears to advice and suggestions.
“Tinubu and I are not on good terms because his policies are causing hardship for the citizens,” the governor stated, adding that the northern region has been particularly affected by the recent tax reforms proposed by the federal government.
“The North, unfortunately, heavily relies on federal allocation to survive. The reforms he is proposing will put the region under dire strain,” he said
“Thank God you are alive today to use your wise words of wisdom in this regard because us politicians tend to use harsh words in our approach, i believe you can inform the change we require” the governor emphasized.
