More Updates on Vincius Junior and Racism in La Liga & Spain
Real Madrid have reportedly filed a complaint at the Spanish office of the attorney general. The club took the step after its top player, Vincius Junior was subjected to racial abuse when his side was playing against Valencia in the La Liga Santander game.
Madrid lost to the host, but that was not the only event in the game. Junior received a red card and he was abused by the ultras of Valencia, who were struggling against relegation to La Liga 2.
The Brazilian has also called out Spain for its covert support to the social vice, which has become a recurrent issue in the European country. He revealed that Spain is known as a racist country in Brazil.
There was a chaos in the encounter. The winger reported the matter to the referee that the Valencia fans were abusing him.
He went further to make a post on his verified Facebook page. He said, “It wasn’t the first time, nor the second and not the third. Racism is normal in La Liga. The competition thinks it’s normal, so does the federation and the opponents encourage it. I am so sorry”.
He expressed that the league which legends including Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldinho won has become racist.
Vincius Junior went further, “A beautiful nation which welcomed me and I love, but which accepted to export the image to the world from a racist country.”
