Two more APC governors have dared President Muhammadu Buhari over the naira scarcity
There have been issues in the country as Nigerians try hard to get the naira notes. In fact the issue has reached a head as Nigerians torch banks and other government institutions.
Mr. Dapo Abiodun, the Ogun State governor, has sent a warning to the commercial banks in the state. Mr. Abiodun made this disclosure today amidst protests in his own state.
An unidentified man was shot by police last week when the protests in Abeokuta turned violent. The governor has been careful since that time to avoid a breakdown of law and order.
Mr. Dapo Abiodun warned that any bank that rejects the old naira notes will be shut down indefinitely.
Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos state governor has also said that people should continue to spend the old notes since the new ones aren’t available anymore.
Both Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dapo Abiodun are doing what Nasir El-Rufai, Yahaya Bello have been doing. The two northern governors have dared Buhari already.
Protests have also rocked the commercial hub Lagos State, and both Ogun and Ogun share boundaries. This might make the two APC governors dare the president.
