Tinubu’s Government to Decide Pump Price of Dangote Fuel
The chairman of the Dangote Company, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has said that the federal government under President Bola Tinubu would decide the price of petroleum produced in his refinery per litre. He stated this on Tuesday while addressing the issues of retail price of the product.
He has announced the rollout of the product as trucks are loading and ready to supply the consumers. Dangote said that the federal government through its NNPC Limited would be the sole buyer of the product and of course sell it to the people of the country.
The statement is coming at a time the NNPC increased the cost of fuel per litre across its own retail outlets across the country. Online Parrot News reported that the cost of a litre varies depending on the locations.
Speaking on the retail prices, Dangote stated, “It is an arrangement which is designed and approved by the Federal Executive Council led by President Bola Tinubu.
“As soon as it is finalised, which he (Tinubu) is pushing, once we finish with NNPC, it can be today, it can be tomorrow, we are ready to roll into the market.”
