President Tinubu to partner in distribution of eyeglasses
President Bola Tinubu has promised to partner in the distribution of eyeglasses to 5,000,000 people across the country.
The president made this known in his verified Facebook page. He said that he had approved a partnership with the Peek Vision Foundation which Prof. Andrew Bastawrous led.
In the post, Tinubu also said that the Federal Ministry of Health would work with the foundation through the National Eye Health Programme. According to him, the initiative intends to distribute 5m eyeglasses to individuals with sight impairment across Nigeria.
He stated further, “As Prof. Bastawrous said, good vision unlocks human potentials. It improves earning and learning and wellness for individuals, communities and countries”.
