Tinubu Needs To Curb Chinese Excesses
It won’t take much thought to know the true intent of China and Chinese in African countries including Nigeria. It is determined to exploit the black nation and to reintroduce colonialism in another dimension though.
Nigeria, the most populous African country, can’t afford to let China and its citizens who se expatriates in Nigeria continue to operate unhindered. It’s clear that the Chinese citizens with the support of the communist government intends to create an annex in Nigeria.
It shocked Nigerians to hear that there is a Chinese mall in Abuja, the capital of the country and Nigerians are not allowed to enter to buy what they need. There is restriction for them in their own country. And this is what China itself can never take.
The United States seems to have fully understood how China operates. It’s such a country that hides while milking, stealing and endangering another country including those hosting its expatriates.
The federal government moved to action immediately it got the report of a top media organisation exposing the Chinese mall. It’s simply one of those types across the country in the major cities. China and its citizens have gained strong footholds in the country and Tinubu needs to summon courage and uproot the holds.
On a great number of occasions, Chinese citizens have been arrested for illegal mining. They go to Nigerian villages, collaborate with the locals and engage in illegal mining. They put the lives of the people to danger and degrade Nigeria’s land.
In February, 2024 Online Parrot News reported that two Chinese citizens were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for illegal mining. The Commission gave their names as Xiao Yi (50 years) and Duan Yahong, 52. It took place in Ilorin, Kwara State. They were carrying truckloads of solid minerals to Lagos.
In September, 2022 the same EFCC arrested one 29-year-old. A Chinese, of course, in the same Ilorin over illegal mining. The Chinese are draining the country of its resources.
They don’t stop at that: they still kill Nigerians. Yes, everyone should be able to recall the murder of a Nigerian lady by her Chinese boyfriend. Geng Quanrong murdered Ummukulsum Buhari in Kano in September, 2022.
What else is President Bola Tinubu waiting for? He needs to act urgently and stop the Chinese excesses in Nigeria.
