President Bola Tinubu has honoured the late Nigerian writer, Chinua Achebe by naming an Abuja road after the Things Fall Apart writer.
Achebe, who died in 2013, was one of the most successful writers, not only in Nigeria, but across the black continent. And the step the president is taking comes just few days after another road was named after the nobel prize winner Professor Wole Soyinka.
Olusegun Dada, the president’s assistant on social media confirmed the new in a social media post.
He wrote: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Commissions the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District of Abuja. Names road after Nigerian Novelist and Poet, late Professor Chinua Achebe.”
