Senate Sacks Ali Ndume, Asks Him to Leave
The upper chamber of the National Assembly, the Senate has sacked the Chief Whip, Ali Ndume from his office and asked him to immediately leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) immediately.
The federal lawmaker from Borno State has been seriously and destructively criticising President Bola Tinubu, whom he said surrounds himself with incompetent people and thieves. He also said that the president has made himself unavailable to every top officials including his ministers.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio put the motion to remove Ndume to vote and the APC caucus in the chamber agreed to remove him as the Chief Whip.
Senator Tahir Mungono from same Borno State was appointed immediately to replace Ndume, one of the most experienced senators.
Furthermore, the national chairman of the party and its secretary, Umar Ganduje and Ajibola Bashir respectively had asked Ndume to leave the part and join any opposition party of his choice.
