Senate confirms 3 more ministers for Bola Tinubu
The upper chamber of the National Assembly, the House of Senate has approved and confirmed the nomination of three more nominees for the ministerial slots.
During the plenary session of the chamber, Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Kwara), Balarabe Lawal Abbas (Kaduna) and Olawande Ayodele (Ondo).
During the interview of the nominees, Balarabe Lawal Abbas collapsed. Members of the house and other officials had to rush to where he stood to resuscitate him. He was eventually confirmed.
Abbas will represent the ex Kaduna State governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, who had to withdraw his nomination following some petitions raised against him.
Bola Tinubu has now appointed 48 ministers from 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) making the number of his nominees one of the biggest so far.
