The top musician and founder of Fresh FM, Mr. Joel Yinka Ayefele, has paid tributes to the late Christopher Alao Akala. Akala was found dead in his room yesterday.
His demise has caused a shock throughout the country. Likewise, top citizens of the country have expressed how sad they are over the demise of the former Oyo State governor.
Ayefele said that it was Akala who made him a darling musician in Aso Rock, the seat of Nigeria power. The top singer made his reaction known when talking to pressmen over the death.
The founder of Fresh FM said that Akala helped his destiny and he lamented over the demise. He explained, “There is no way I will write the story of my life and I will not devote ample space to documenting the various acts of the benefaction of Otunba Alao-Akala towards me. He was indeed one of my destiny helpers.”
Ayefele told the pressmen that Akala led him to the former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. He stated further that since that time, he has been a darling musician in the Aso Rock.
He narrated, “He was one of the individuals that God greatly used for me. He facilitated how I became the darling musician for Aso Rock during which time I became close to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. I have since then been doing musical performances for the Atiku family when they have social functions.
While further describing Alao Akala, Mr. Yinka Ayefele said that the dead former governor was often genuinely interested in the progress of any individual. He described Akala as a generous man, who would always forgive when wronged.
“As part of the unique attributes that set the former governor apart, he was genuinely interested in the progress of other people. He was generous to a fault and never begrudged anyone. Those who wronged him, he forgave easily.”
