It’s Unlawful For Christians To Eat In Public Duing Ramadan
The Islamic Police (Hisbah) have warned non-Muslims living in Kano against eating in public during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Muslim faithful across the world started observing the fasting and praying on Monday. And it will last for up to 30 days depending on the sighting of the moon to indicating the end of the month.
Hisbah in an interview in the ancient city of Kano asked the non-Muslims to ensure that they they don’t eat in the open while Muslim residents are fasting.
The Director-General of the Board, Abba Sai’Idu was talking with the AIT TV when he said that it’s unlawful for Christians and non-Muslims to eat publicly while the Ramadan lasts.
