The All Progressives Congress has slammed the Labour Party presidential candidate in the last general elections Peter Obi over a comment he made on the administration of President Bola Tinubu. Obi had criticised the president targeting his economic policies and the spate of insecurity in Nigeria.
Obi has also asked president Bola Tinubu to travel to all the 36 states of the federation and spend two days there to witness what the people are passing through. He also challenged the president to use roads so as to see how bad the Nigerian roads are.
The All Progressives Congress has not found the pieces of advice Obi gave as being useful. The party reacted through Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary in a long statement titled, “APC to Peter Obi – Nigerians Are Confident of Better Days Ahead”.
The statement said that Obi, who is now giving advice on good governance left no record achievements or meaningful transformation of Anambra State. He was governor of the state for eight years.
APC said, “It is a thing of irony that Peter Obi, who now arrogates to himself to be omniscient and philosopher’s stone, when it comes to our nation’s challenges, left no record of significant achievement, let alone transformation of any kind, in his eight year-tenure as governor of Anambra State.”
