The People’s Democratic Party had finally cleared Dotun Babayemi, Ademola Adeleke and other aspirants for its ticket, the Punch Newspaper has reported.
The screening exercise was done on Wednesday, 12 January, 2022 at the Wadata Plaza secretariat of the opposition party. And the chairman of the screening committee said that the aspirants would know their fate within 48 hours.
Mr. Mohammed Adoke, the chairman of the screening committee had revealed that six aspirants including Babayemi, Adeleke, Akin Ogunbiyi, Mr. Dele Adeleke, Fatai Akinbade were successfully screened.
The results of the screening are out. All the six aspirants can now go and face one another in the primary election. The National Organising Secretary Umar M. Bature revealed the development.
He commended the screening committee and the aspirants for their orderly conduct in the exercise. Bature said that Osun State is one of the most important states at this moment.
He added, “We believe with the job this committee has done, all the aspirants will be glad of the outcome.
“The aspirants will see that we have done the best in their interest.”
