Prince Dotun Babayemi is using one tactic to clinch PDP’s ticket in Osun State ahead of the state’s gubernatorial election. The politician seems to be the only one using that approach.
Of course, he is not the only one jostling for the ticket of the opposition party in the state. However, his approach is unique and others aren’t paying attention to it.
Mr. Ademola Adeleke, his nephew Dele Adeleke, Mr. Akin Ogunbiyi, Fatai Akinbade are also in the race for the PDP’s ticket in Osun. And the six of them have been cleared for the primary election.
Prince Dotun Babayemi has been visiting stakeholders and potential delegates across the states. He knows that his fate is in the hands of the delegates, hence, he has been consulting them.
The PDP would have power to choose from the direct or indirect pattern of primary election. And whichever way, Babayemi is using the tactic so as to win or clinch the PDP’s ticket in Osun State.
Just some moments ago, the politician from Gbongan, Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State, was in Edunabon in Ife North Local Government Area of the state. He went to consult the top politicians in the area.
The mission was successful and he was in Ife East Local Government Area of Osun State on Thursday as part of his struggle to clinch the PDP’s ticket in Osun. He met with the PDP’s leaders and wooed them.
He has toured Ila, Boluwaduro and Ifedayo local government areas. The three areas constitute the Ila Federal Constituency. And bulk of vote will come from the area.
He has also liaised with PDP stalwarts in Ejigbo Local Government Area. Truly, Babayemi isn’t a new blood or a green horn in the political affairs of the Osun West Senatorial District. Yet he consults leaders from the district.
The primary election comes up soon and the former ADP candidate for Osun West Senatorial District will look forward to clinching the PDP’s ticket in Osun so as to take on the ruling party’s candidate.
