One more punishment awaiting Kurt Zouma may be at his club, West Ham United. The French player has come under severe punishment already.
Zouma came under intense fire when he was seen in a video clip physically abusing a cat in his home. And since that time till now, he has become the subject of debate in the media.
The West Ham United manager, David Moyes, suffered from serious criticism for starting Zouma as his side beat Watford in the English Premier League.
Keir Starmer, the Labour Party leader in the United Kingdom, argued that Zouma ought to be dropped in the match against Watford. West Ham United beat Watford in the game.
Starmer said, “He should be dropped. I don’t know what they were thinking of playing him the other night.”
In his own explanation, the decision of Moyes to start Zouma “was just a mistake.”
For kicking and slapping his pets, Zouma, who won the FIFA world cup with France in 2019, got a fine of $340,000 (three hundred and forty thousand US dollars). And that is the maximum fine in the club.
More than 300,000 people have also signed an online petition against the 27-year old French player, who also won UEFA Champions League with Chelsea last season.
One more punishment awaiting Kurt Zouma is that he may not play against Leicester City in the weekend. Moyes may eventually decide to listen to the several calls to drop the player.
