Mr. Rochas Okorocha has explained how his son-in-law, Mr. Uche Nwosu, was arrested on Sunday. The former governor of Imo State, who is now representing a senatorial district in Imo State, has given further clues about the arrest.
Initially it was believed that Nwosu was kidnapped by some unknown gunmen and that he had been whisked away. But the Imo State Police Command came out to say that he was arrested.
Mr. Okorocha, who was visibly annoyed, revealed that his wife was seriously assaulted and that his daughter, who happens to be Nwosu’s wife was also assaulted. He said that his daughter’s clothes were torn in the process of arresting Uche Nwosu.
He also stated that the arrest was done at the St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama Obieri in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State. There was an outing for Nwosu’s mother at the church when the police stormed the venue.
Okorocha accused Governor Hope Uzodinma of being the influence of the arrest.
