Obasanjo, a cock that doesn’t want the chick crow

The ex president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, is indeed a big cock that doesn’t want the chick to crow as well. He has really become a serious issue to the country.

He has made several inciting statements in the past. He has ruffled the feather and stirred the hornet’s nest. Of course, he went away with everything. As an elder, the best he can do is to correct the errors and lead the country.

The Ogun State man wouldn’t do that. He would rather ensue he kills the morale of those who are coming up. To state the reality, he doesn’t seem to want another Yoruba person to lead the country. Whereas he benefitted from the race.

After the demise of the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, the country agreed to let another Yoruba man come on board. He won the 1999 presidential election. He could have given his support to the race.

And if he knows he wants to maintain nationalism, he shouldn’t be at the forefront bringing the southwest geopolitical zone down. Olusegun Obasanjo made his choice of Peter Obi, the Labour Party candidate.

Every Nigerian has right to choose their candidate. That’s the beauty of democracy. But passing disruptive comments, making inciting statements against INEC is the peak of irresponsibility.

The ex president has received appropriate responses from all and sundry. But would Obasanjo for once allow the chick to grow and crow? He doesn’t have the magic wand to control the democracy of the country.

Olusegun Obasanjo might have received applauses for his comments since he left power. But the current one he made about the 2023 general elections and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) evidently shows that he is the giant and selfish cock.

What could Bola Tinubu, the APC candidate have done for Olusegun Obasanjo to warrant the destructive criticism and opposition?

Obasanjo does think he knows it all, an encyclopedia of Nigerian democracy. Whereas he benefitted from the then poorly conducted, rigged elections.
