NBA says 92% Nigerians approve 2023 election results
The Nigerian Bar Association has claimed that 92% Nigerians approved and accepted the February 25 general elections. The association talked amidst criticism against the Independent National Electoral Commission coming from the PDP and LP.
The NBA claimed that the percentage felt impressed and satisfied with the conduct of the elections, which APC candidate Bola Tinubu won.
The association reeling out data said that at least 27.1% of voters considered the election as being excellent while 64.6% were simply satisfied with the exercise.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) revealed the details in a statement which was signed by its national publicity secretary, Akorede Lawal. The association said that it’s part of the report of its findings.
The two runner-ups in the exercise, Mr. Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi have called for cancellation of the results on the ground that the Independent National Electoral Commission didn’t follow the processes in including uploading the results on the portal.
NBA said it received reports through its NBA 2023 Elections Situation Room from its observers across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Both Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi have recruited some prominent members of the Nigerian Bar Association to challenge the results and declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of the poll.
