A councilor from Gombe State has said that 18 aides or assistants are not enough for him to perform in his office.
Honourable Yusuf Yahaya is the councilor of Bajoga East Ward in the Funakaye Local Government Area of the northeastern Gombe State.
Mr. Yahaya, who is fondly known as Agali is 40 years old with two wives and nine children. In the interview he granted to Punch Newspaper, he made some revelations.
He gave reasons for appointing 18 aides and why he wouldn’t stop at that figure now. He wants his work to be easier and to give back to his constituents.
“I did that to make my work easier, aside from the fact that it was a way of creating jobs for my people.”
He went on to say, “The appointments were geared towards spreading my reach to my constituents knowing that I can’t always be there”.
