A new date has been officially set for the match between Manchester United and Brentford Football Club. This has been confirmed on the official page of Manchester United.
The match was initially slated for 14 December, 2021. But it had to be postponed due to the spread of the coronavirus disease. It ultimately led to the shutdown of Carrington, the training ground of the club.
The match will now be played on Wednesday, 19 January, 2021 at 8pm (GMT). That would be the first ever competitive game Manchester United would play against the London team since 1975.
Brentford game was not the only postponed match for Manchester United. The encounter against Brighton and Hove Albion was also shifted because of COVID-19 pandemic. A new date is yet to be set for the game.
