Romelu Lukaku inching closer to Roma
The Belgian striker has been sidelined in the Chelsea’s main team following his return to the English club from the Italian side, Inter Milan. Lukaku was loaned from Chelsea to Inter Milan, where he had earlier won the Italian Serie A.
Following the expiration of the loan deal, he returned to London, but the new Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochenttio doesn’t appear to have plans for the Belgian international.
Roma coach Jose Mourinho has had interest in picking him up, not on a permanent deal though. Roma director and owner have had a direct talk with Chelsea over Romelu Lukaku, who had played for big clubs including Manchester United and Everton.
Lukaku will most likely grab the opportunity as he currently trains with the Chelsea’s under 23 team.
