Kwankwaso’s suspension: Galadima tackles NNPP
A political stalwart, Buba Galadima has tackled the New Nigeria Political Party (NNPP) over the Rabiu Kwankwaso’s suspension from the party.
The Board of Trustees of the political party held a meeting yesterday and decided to suspend the ex Kano State governor for six months. The presidential candidate came fourth in the presidential poll behind Bola Tinubu, who won the election and immediate runnerup Abubakar Atiku and Peter Obi.
The Board of Trustees chairman Mr. Babayo Muhammed Abdullahi talked to the journalists after the meeting. He provided some explanations on the suspension of the ex Kano State governor from the party.
He said, “The material evidence in the public sector affirmed that Kwankwaso was involved in anti-party activities in various meetings, suggests political discussion with the president, Atiku and Obi without authorisation from the board”.
Buba Galadima called kwankwaso’s suspension, “When I saw it on social media, I thought it was like a Nollywood or Hollywood joke.”
The elder statesman further told Channels Television, “Now let me make a small correction, those that were expelled were Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam and Gabriel Agbor Major.”
“All of them who were expelled were called to a disciplinary committee. They were drilled and they accepted their sins and it was on the basis of their acceptance that they were recommended to the Nation Working Committee for expulsion.”
Galadima didn’t stop at that. He accused the group that called itself Board of Trustees of working to destroy the political party. He narrated, “A lot of people are interested in this party in the sense that the other parties felt that they could only survive if they destroy this party.
“But unknown to them we are as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar”. Kwankwaso himself is yet to react to the suspension from the political party.
