Serious Over voting in Kogi Central in the Gubernatorial Election
Online Parrot News has reported that a number of adhoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission were caught with pre-recorded form EC8A in polling units.
Dino Melaye, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Gubernatorial Election, has also called on INEC to cancel elections in no fewer than five local government areas.
He himself was not present at his polling unit located in Ayetoro-Gbede. He said he didn’t have confidence in the process and he accused INEC of conspiring with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
There is a massive overvoting in Adavi Local Government Area to the tune of 60,343 votes in excess. The BIVAS accredited just 28,070 voters and the total number of valid votes stood at 88,413 votes.
At Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, 29,995 voters were accredited using the BIVAS. However, on the INEC IRev, 57,678 votes were recorded. That means there are 27,709 votes in excess.
Okene Local Government Area also recorded overvoting. 122,299 votes were recorded as valid in the local government area, whereas BIVAS accredited 36,168 votes.
In the three local government areas, Online Parrot News observed that a sum of 174,183 votes were in excess.
