Nnamdi Kanu May Be Useful For Tinubu’s Administration
Granted that he wanted to lead the Igbo people to the rather illusive Biafra Republic, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu can be useful for the administration of President Bola Tinubu. He is still in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Kanu has been vocal and active in the struggle for the establishment of a republic for the Igbo people. And that led him to the current ordeal he is facing as the federal government continues to detain him in the custody while prolonging his criminal case.
Despite the severity of his case, Bola Tinubu can make Nnamdi Kanu renounce his fight and be a turncoat. The last appearance of the secessionist clearly showed his readiness to be instrumental to restoration of normalcy and security to the southeastern part of the country.
He said that he would restore peace to the rather restive region of he were free. He was in the court when he had an opportunity to address pressmen.
While condemning the rising level of insecurity in the area, Kanu said, “Anybody committing crime in the East cannot go free, I swear it.
“They are doing it because I am in the DSS (custody). If I were to be outside, nobody can try this.”
“I suspect that some people in government are complicit. They are making money with the insecurity. They know if Nnamdi Kanu is outside, in two minutes, this nonsense will stop,” he said.
According to Kanu, nobody dares speak when he is talking.
“I will give an order in the East who is the idiot that will counter it? Nobody can. I am Nnamdi Kanu.
“Anybody involved in any form of violence in the East in the name of IPOB is a goner, and they know it. Let me come out of this mess, only two minutes, there will be peace in the East,” he said.
Tinubu must have had a headache over reports from the eastern side of Nigeria. The Nigerian military has to repeatedly repel attacks of the Eastern Security Network members, who are armed to the teeth.
The president can have a deal with the Indigenous People of Biafra leader Kanu that once he’s released, there would be no form of insecurity or all threats to the national security will be removed.
