Mr. Nyesom Wike, the minister of Federal Capital Territory has explained that he had no regret giving his full support to President Bola Tinubu. He said he helped the then candidate of the All Progressives Congress to win the presidential election in 2023.
The immediate past Rivers State Governor, Wike, ha become more vocal with his ongoing political battle with his successor Simi Fubara.
He was at an even at Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State when he said that he had no reason to regret his action. Although he was in the PDP and struggled to get the ticket of the party for the said election, he lost to Atiku Abubakar.
But he refused to support the candidate of the PDP and negotiated with Tinubu, who won Rivers State. He rewarded Wike by appointing him to coordinate the affairs of the Federal Capital Territory, the seat of power of the country.
According to Wike: “I have no regret supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to win election.
“All these ones making noise, they told Atiku, we will fight him. How can people who came out and said Fubara cannot be governor, he cannot talk before the public, today are now the ones saying we are with you in 2027.”
