Insecurity envelops Imo State more as gunmen abduct General
Imo State has continued to be a centre of insecurity in the most recent time. A major general has been attacked and kidnapped in the state.
Last week, yet-to-be-identified gunmen launched a serious and really deadly attack on a convoy of military personnel. A number of personnel lost their lives while a utility vehicle was set ablaze by the fleeing gunmen.
Reports say that the top military officer, RC Duru (rtd) was travelling in a Mercedes Benz ML jeep last week when the attack occured.
“He was kidnapped by 4 persons in a Toyota Sienna,” a signal obtained by Sahara Reporters read.
“The kidnappers went with his vehicle and checkpoints were informed. His phone 08033567459 was tracked to Mba Itoli in Imo State before it was switched off.”
