I won’t let criminals sleep in FCT – Wike
The minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike has said that he wouldn’t let the criminals in the Nigeria’s capital sleep. He made the comment on the heel of rise in criminality in Abuja and its environs.
Kidnappers and bandits are having a field day in the territory. Abuja, or the FCT, which was peaceful and safe for its residents during ex president Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure has become a soft ground for the criminals to operate.
The minister said, “Today you can see that we are not letting them go and they will not sleep. All these criminals, we will make sure they will not sleep. As they said you will not sleep, they too will not sleep. So, we are taking the war head-on. Let them wait for us, they will see fire for fire (sic).”
Wike has boasted earlier and charged the chairmen of the six local government areas in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to do more to protect the people in their domain.
