A legal practitioner Dele Farotimi has hinted that he was ready for a war and that his guns are ready for use. This is coming just few days after he was released on bail from prison.
Police arrested him in Lagos and transferred him to Ekiti to face trial over a book he wrote in which he alleged that Aare Afe Babalola used to bribe judges to get favourable judgements for his clients. The senior advocate of Nigeria, Babalola, has denied wrongdoings and said that Farotimi lied in his book.
Although one of the conditions for his bail stops him from granting interviews to the media, Farotimi has posted some encrypted messages on his Facebook and X accounts.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the lawyer said that he was strong and unruffled against why he called principalities and powers. He didn’t mention any name, but he was apparently referring to his opponent, Babalola.
“I am strong enough to rumble unruffled against principalities and powers, but I am human enough to retain the capacity to shed tears of joy in appreciation of the grace of God, expressed in the concerted efforts of fellow victims. My battle axes are newly sharpened, my guns primed, I am ready to war…”
