“I don’t need job from you”, Obasanjo tells Tinubu

Ex president Olusegun Obasanjo has cleared air after his meeting with the incumbent, Bola Tinubu in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The former president, who has been in the news these days clarified his position after the meeting.

A video has gone viral. The clip purportedly said that the ex president told Tinubu at a birthday party in Abeokuta that he would work with the incumbent if he has an opportunity.

They met at the 80th anniversary of Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo. It was reported that at Abeokuta, Bola Tinubu met Obasanjo playing ayo and the incumbent was surprised.

He jokingly asked Obasanjo why he was playing the game at the time of the day. The statement further revealed, “Spontaneously, as he was getting up from his chair to welcome him and other accompanying visitors, Obasanjo responded: “When I don’t have job. If you are ready to give me job, I am ready to do it.

“I am not looking for work and I am not working with anyone as the fake news puts out. Those who are looking for people to work with Bola Tinubu should look outside Obasanjo.”
