Yemeni Houthis have claimed responsibility for the recent attacks on Israeli capital, Tel Aviv. The Iranian-backed group has fought against Israel on behalf of Palestinian Hamas.
The spokesperson for the group, which rules larger part of Yemen, Yahya Saree said that the explosions in Israel was caused by his country, Yemen.
He said that the Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted “specific military operation targeting Ben Gurion Airport” using hypersonic missiles. According to his statement, “The missile succeeded in reaching its target, causing casualties and halting navigation at the airport.”
Israel had threatened to decisively target the leadership of the Houthis. Several parts of Yemeni capital Sanaa have been seriously hit by Israel in a tit-for-tat.
