Has Nnamdi Kanu truly Denied IPOB in court?

0

Did Nnamdi Kanu actually and truly deny the Indigenous People of Biafra as claimed by the Federal Government?

The federal government through its lawyer has claimed that the incarcerated leader has denied the proscribed group, IPOB.

S.M. Labaran Esq, who represented the Director of Public Prosecution, yesterday said that the detained IPOB agitator has denied being a member of IPOB.

This particular statement has caused a kind of argument on the internet on whether Kanu was right or wrong to make the pronouncement.

In a sharp and swift reaction, Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, said that his colleague, Labaran, had misinformed the public. He argued that information was distorted.

According to Ejiofor, Kanu didn’t deny being a member of the group. But Kanu didn’t accept the declaration of IPOB as a terrorist group.

He said, “For the records Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu never denied being the leader of IPOB while taking his plea,

“But only stoutly denied the fact that IPOB is a terrorist organisation and that being its leader is an offence, which position is well informed.”

One will begin to wonder if Kanu can actually deny IPOB. The group is leading in efforts to release him.

As a part of the efforts being made by IPOB, the group does order and execute sit-at-home in southeastern region.

Several links have shown how IPOB is led by Nnamdi Kanu. And he is aware of the essence of leading the group. Could he have denied the group?

His lawyer has provided another version of the whole story. Of course, Kanu can’t admit that IPOB is a terrorist group.

He can’t admit that he leads a terrorist group knowing full well that the Federal Government had proscribed the group and designated it as a terrorist group.
