Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi, a former minister of sports and youth development, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party. He announced his resignation from the party in a letter saying that it was a difficult decision he had to make.
Abdullahi is a key ally of former Senate President Bukola Saraki. He often aligns his decisions with that of Saraki and his resignation from the PDP may point at possibility of Saraki leaving the PDP. Bolaji Abdullahi was once a member of the APC.
He added that he has not decided his new course politically an that God would lead him through.
In his resignation letter, Abdullahi said he reached the “difficult” decision after days of reflection and introspection.
“I write to formally resign my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” the letter reads.
