A top sociopolitical affairs commentator Jaafar Jaafar has condemned President Bola Tinubu for biting the hand that fed him during the buildup to the 2023 general elections. He argued that it’s wrong to sideline Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and still humiliate him at the same time.
Online Parrot News reported that El-Rufai has been criticising the president since he lost his bid to be a member of the cabinet. Tinubu actually nominated the former Kaduna State governor, but the Senate said that there were some reports and petitions against El-Rufai.

The former governor too has since become a serious critic of Tinubu, often writing cryptic contents on his social media platforms to deride the administration.
Jaafar said that El-Rufai fought Muhammadu Buhari and the cabal who wanted power to remain in northern region of the country. He explained that without El-Rufai’s contribution, Tinubu wouldn’t have become the president.
“Without @elrufai’s courage to lead a fight against Buhari and the cabal that wanted power to remain in the North, the story would have been different today. Without his contributions to the acualisation of the Tinubu mandate, some of those criticizing or taunting him today would have been jobless. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.”
