The Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has sacked its chairman Babayo Misau for failing to win the 2023 governorship election. Bala Mohamed won his reelection in March, 2023.
The Bauchi chapter executive decided to fire the chairman in a meeting at the Next Level Secretariat on Thursday.
The party’s Legal Adviser, Rabi’u Garba briefed newsmen after the meeting and told them that the chairman has been relieved of his appointment.
No fewer than 27 out of 37 executive members passed a vote of no confidence on him and ultimately shown him the exit.
Garba told journalists that “Following the executive committee meeting of the All Progressives Congress this morning, November 30, 2023, and having resolved and reflected on the issues and crisis bedeviling our party, particularly, what we are facing immediately after the elections up to the general elections to today, we have witnessed a lot of negativities happening within the party.”
