Chelsea’s woes under Graham Potter continues

Tottenham Hotspur has heaped more woes on Chelsea Football Club. The Blues fell at the new Tottenham Stadium in the English Premier League game on Sunday.

Chelsea has been below average in term of its performance since the American, Todd Boehly acquired the club and English coach Graham Potter took over reign.

One goal in either half helped to seal victory for the hosts in the London derby. Chelsea also lost its last EPL game to Southampton.

The last UEFA Champions League game was also a misery for the blues who spent a whooping sum of money in the January transfer window.

Graham Potter has distanced himself from the problem saying he couldn’t be blamed for the horrible performance of the team.

Chelsea’s woes started when the German coach Thomas Tuchel was inexplicably fired when the season kicked off. He had lost just one match against Salzburg that time.

Then, Todd Boehly recruited Graham Potter from Brighton and Hove. It looked there would be a new dawn under a new owner and a new coach. It has been otherwise, surprisingly.

Half to the season, Chelsea’s woes became more serious with lots of injuries. But that has subsided with the return of key players including Ben Chillwell, James Reece among others.

Tottenham skipper, Harry Kane has increased his tally at the North London club. He scored in the late second half to help seal the victory over 10-placed Chelsea.
