Bola Tinubu shut down Osun State
The APC presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu shut down Osun State yesterday. His campaign went to his ancestral home and he received a tumultuous welcome in the state of virtue.
Mr. Tinubu isn’t the only one in the team that went to Osun State to broadcast his renewed hope message to the thousands of voters in the southwest state. The ex governor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola relishing on his victory in the tribunal was at the train.
He showed the maximum support to his benefactor, who stood up for him even when Rauf Aregbesola opposed him. Mr Adegboyega Oyetola had beaten Ademola Adeleke in the electoral tribunal.
The Kano State governor Mr. Umar Ganduje was also there. The governor has been standing by the presidential hopeful since the inception of the bid to succeed Muhammadu Buhari. In fact Ganduje has shown his loyalty in several occasions.
Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Mr. Dapo Abiodun, the Lagos and the Ogun State governor respectively were also there when Bola Tinubu shut down Osun State yesterday.
The state governor, Mr. Ademola Adeleke had earlier approved the use of the Osogbo City Stadium for the All Progressives Congress and its candidate to use. But he warned the people of the state against going there to support the party.
He argued that violent people would come to the venue and lives and properties might be lost in the course of the campaign rally. However, the people of the state defied his order and trooped out in such a larger number to welcome Bola Tinubu to Osun State.
Tinubu has only left the south-south geopolitical zone where he talked in Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Delta and a host of other states in that axis including in Anambra State.
The ex Lagos state governor has said that becoming the president is his lifelong ambition. He also believes in “emi lokan” which reportedly irked President Muhammadu Buhari he looks forward to succeeding.
