Biafra Agitators Set to Shut Down Government Institutions in East
The Agitators for the establishment of a Biafra Republic have said that they would shut down all the governmental institutions in the southeast geopolitical zone for one month.
Lockdown or sit-at-home is not a new phenomenon in the region. The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra regularly orders the people and residents of the area to stay at home on Mondays and it uses force to make them comply.
However, the target now seems to be on the governmental institutions which the agitators want to make inactive for a whole month.
Mr. Simon Ekpa, who gives orders from Finland, signed a statement on a letterhead making demands from the government. He said that the Federal Government should withdraw its security from all the lands of Biafra.
He also demanded a referendum to establish the republic. The release of incarcerated #NnamdiKanu also forms part of the demand along with some other threats.
Ekpa calls himself the Prime Minister and signed the paper.
