Bayelsa: PDP’s Diri beats LP’s Udengs Eradiri
The incumbent Bayelsa State governor Duoye Diri, who is also the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the ongoing gubernatorial election has beaten Udengs Eradiri of the Labour Party at the latter’s polling unit.
Independent National Electoral Commission officials are sorting and counting ballots papers across the 8 local government areas of the state.
Diri beat Udengs Eradiri at Unit 05, Ward 10, Yenagoa Local Government Area (LGA). He scored 130 while the Labour Party’s candidate had 8 votes.
All Progressives Congress (APC) Timipre Silva gathered 45 votes.
Diri also won in the Yindimie Compound Square, voting unit 013, Ward 10 of the state’s Sagbama Local Government Area.
He has 137 votes, while Silva scored 55.
