Bauchi labours Signals Readiness For October 3 NLC Strike
The Bauchi State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress has stated its readiness to take part in the industrial action.
The labour union has accused the federal government under Bola Tinubu of its refusal to negotiate and reach an agreement.
Nigerian labours have lamented the hardship worsened by the removal of fuel subsidy. The administration of Bola Tinubu has removed the funds that helped to reduce or stabilize the cost of fuel in the country.
The Bauchi State chapter of the union made its stance known on Friday. State NLC Chairman, Dauda Shu’aibu addressed a press conference to announce that the chapter is ready to join the national headquarters.
He told the members of the press, “We are to embark on an indefinite and total shutdown of the nation, beginning from zero hours on Tuesday.
“Labour directs all workers in Nigeria to withdraw their services from their various workplaces commencing from the Oct 3.”
