Bauchi Guber Petition: Supreme Court reserves judgment
The apex court of the country has reserved its judgment in the case between the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party over the Bauchi gubernatorial election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared incumbent governor Bala Mohammed as the winner of the election. The All Progressives Congress and its candidate Sadique Abubakar approached the petition tribunal.
Both the tribunal and the appellate court upheld the victory of the governor, who contested on the platform of the PDP. But Abubakar was not pleased. Therefore he headed to the apex court to upturn the decision of the Appellate Court.
