The presidency has advised the United Kingdom Conservative Leader Kemi Badenoch to learn from her predecessor Rishi Sunak and stop her verbal attacks on Nigeria, her country of birth.
Badenoch resumed her rhetoric on Nigeria yesterday when she said that Nigerians became poorer as a result of inflation caused by bad governance.
Mr. Daniel Bwala, a media aide to President Bola Tinubu said that the conservative leader should stop using Nigeria as a weapon to please her far right base.
Kemi Badenoch has never identified herself with far right even though she belongs to the right wing.
On X, Daniel Bwala said, “I truly wish that sister @KemiBadenoch would avoid denigrating Nigeria, the country of her origin as a weapon to please her far right base.”
The media aide added that ex Prime Minister Rishi Sunak didn’t make reference to gang rape issue in India, his own country of origin.
“Rishi Sunak never weaponized the gang rape and other vices in India; the country of his origin just so he would impressed (sic) the far right base.
“She is smart, intelligent and we are proud of her rise in the politics of the UK; but we are equally saddened by her terrible rhetoric against Nigeria.”
