Babayemi, Adeleke, others get new date for PDP’s screening

Aspirants for the Bola Ige House under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party have got a new date for the screening exercise for primary election.

The exercise was initially scheduled for Tuesday, 11 January, 2022. The screening is expected to precede the primary election which will hold in another date.

In a statement signed by the National Organising Secretary, Umar M. Bature, the screening has now been shifted to Wednesday, 12 January, 2022.

The venue of the exercise is the National secretariat of the PDP at the Wadata Plaza, Abuja. And it will start at 10am.

Top aspirants have picked up and filled the form of the party. Prominent among them are 2018 gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Ademola Adeleke, his nephew Dele Adeleke, his opponent in 2018, Mr. Akin Ogunbiyi.

Mr. Fatai Akinbade is also in the race to represent the PDP. Likewise the ADP candidate in the 2019 Osun west Senatorial District, Prince Dotun Babayemi has also picked up the ticket of the party for the race.

Part of the statement released by the National Working Committee reads, “All aspirants, leaders, critical stakeholders and members of our party in Osun state should take note and by this, guided accordingly.”
