Ex vice president, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku has felicitated the PDP candidate for Nassarawa State gubernatorial election, Mr. David Ombugadu on his victory at the petition tribunal.
The court earlier on Monday sacked Governor Abdullahi Sule, who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the election.
Atiku himself is fighting hard to upturn the victory of Bola Tinubu, against whom he ran for the presidency, at the Supreme Court.
The PDP’s presidential candidate sent his congratulatory message to David Ombugadu via X, which used to be called Twitter on Monday.
The former vice president said, “My warmest congratulations to Mr David Ombugadu of the PDP, who has been affirmed by the election petition tribunal in Lafia, Nasarawa State, as the duly elected Governor of the state. Elections are the cornerstone of democracy, and the people’s will, once determined, should always be upheld.”
