The APC 2022 national convention committee has released timetable for its national convention. The timetable also includes fees for all available posts in the party.
The party has been under the leadership of a caretaker committee since June, 2020. Following the removal of Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, the National Executive Council put the party under the committee.
The convention would hold on 26 March, 2022. Also based on the information on the timetable, sales of forms commences on 14 March to 18 March. Just one week would be available for the sales of nomination form.
A day later, the committee would screen the aspirants for all posts. The screening holds on Saturday, 19 March. And aspirants would be able to appeal the screening (if there is any) on Tuesday, 22 March.
Accreditation of the delegates would take at least two days. It will start on Thursday, 24 March and end on Friday, 25 March.
And the real and main event of convention holds on Saturday, 26 March, 2022. Aggrieved aspirants have rights to appeal the outcome of the convention on Tuesday, 29 March. Decisions of the appeal committee would be adopted on Wednesday, 30 March.
The new members of the National Working Committee will take oath of office on Thursday, 31 March. And the new NWC members will resume office thereafter.
Aspirants for the office of the national chairman would pay a total sum of twenty million naira (N20,000,000). The aspirants for the deputy national chairman would pay ten million naira (N10,000,000). Other would pay five million naira.
The All Progressives Congress convention paves way for women and the people with disabilities. A reduction of up to 50% is given to them.
Several politicians have shown interest in becoming the APC chairman. The APC 2022 national convention would produce another leader.
