Amidst Criticism Buhari Campaigns for Tinubu in Nassarawa
President Muhammadu Buhari campaigns for Tinubu in Nassarawa state despite the criticism in several quarters of the media that some men are sabotaging Tinubu’s bid in the presidency.
Bola Tinubu has on two different rallies raised an alarm though without mentioning names. He said that money and fuel are being hoarded just to impose interim government. And that the CBN introduced new naira notes just to sabotage him.
In fact one would have thought that the APC candidate was just being emotional or anxious of his chances to win the election. Top echelons in the All Progressives Congress have said almost the same thing.
Nasir El-Rufai, Kaduna state governor, made some similar claims. He alleged that some cabals are working against Tinubu. He wouldn’t mention any names, but he stated the location of the saboteurs: the presidency.
Yet Buhari has been to Borno, Yobe, Bauchi for the rallies of Bola Tinubu. He travels with the team to go and show his support for the ex Lagos state governor, who now eyes the seat of the president.
President Muhammadu Buhari has a very busy schedule. There are lots of engagements and appointments, yet he takes out of his time to go out there with the candidate of his party to campaign. What more would one expect him to do?
He had reacted to the naira notes crisis and strongly assured Nigerians that within 7 days something would be done to address the matter. He didn’t seem to be working against the ambition of Bola Tinubu, the author of “emi lokan”.
Umar Ganduje, Kano State governor, also made a fairly similar claim. He accused the CBN governor Godwin Emefiele of conspiring with some other persons in the presidency to foil Tinubu’s ambition. He mentioned only Emefiele’s name.
