Two coaches have lost their jobs as a result of their woeful performances in the ongoing Cameroon’s AFCON 2021. The coaches’ sacking emanated from their inability to deliver.
The African Cup of Nations is yet to reach the final stage, yet top coaches have lost their coaching job. Some top countries including Ghana, Algeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria crashed out unprecedentedly.
The tuning coach has also got his own termination of appointment. Mondher Kebaier, who is now 51, got the termination along with his 50-year-old deputy Jalel Kadri.
The Tunisian Football Federation announced their sacking after they unceremoniously lost to the stallions of Burkina Faso in the quarterfinals of the games.
The 2004 AFCON champions lost the game to Burkina Faso, who were reduced to 10 men several minutes to the end of the game.
Tunisia made it to that level when they beat the Nigerian Super Eagles in the AFCON 2021. Their victory was actually a fluke, and they couldn’t withstand pressure from the stallions.
Therefore, the Tunisian Football Federation showed the coach and his deputy the exit.
The Ghana Football Federation also decided to part ways with the head coach of the black stars of Ghana. The West African team performed woefully in the competition.
The black stars of Ghana could move on to the knockouts of the competition. The most shocking of it all is that they lost to the minnow debutant Comoros.
Therefore, the federation decided to relieve the Serbian coach, Milovan Rajevac of his appointment.
Ghana will be at home in March to host Nigerian Super Eagles in the playoffs for the FIFA world cup in Qatar. The two sides suffered from shambles in the AFCON 2021 and the two coaches have lost their jobs.
Both super eagles and black stars of Ghana will play with two new coaches when they meet in March.
