David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has made two Twitter posts to spite his cousin, Dele Adeleke. The attack is over PDP’s ticket in Osun State.
The row started as a result of the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party for the Osun State gubernatorial election. The election holds in July, 2022.
Dele Adeleke is contesting against his nephew, Ademola Adeleke for the PDP’s ticket. Ademola represented the same party in 2018. He lost against Adegboyega Oyetola.
Now, Dele has joined the race for the PDP ticket so as to contest this year. Whereas Ademola Adeleke is seriously in the race as well.
The two men were in Abuja last week for the screening exercise. There were four more aspirants. And they have all been cleared by the party.
Out of annoyance, David Adeleke called Dele, his cousin, fake, and asked Osun State people to avoid him (Dele Adeleke).
He said that he graduated with second class upper in the University, whereas Dele was able to make second class lower. And Dele now sees himself as “intellectual”.
Davido posted, “intellectual that has not succeeded in building one single thing in life on his own”.
He exclaimed, “This life ehn!”. He further asked Osun State people to beware of “FAKES”.
The rows in the Adeleke’s family has not been made public until recently. The family produced the first executive governor of the state.
It is crystal clear that Davido still prefers his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, to represent the PDP once again in the election scheduled for later this year.
In another post, Davido used his native Yoruba language to launch an onslaught on his cousin, Dele Adeleke.
He said, “Bad belle lo po laye, Kehinde Le Je oju taiye”. This can be roughly interpreted that there are several betrayals and twins can betray each other.
