Peter Obi has given clues about his presidential ambition. He made these clues in a coded response on Twitter.
Obi didn’t want to face a legal action from a Twitter user. Hence, he asks for more time before he declares ambition.
Mr. Obi was the running mate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the last presidential election. And he (Obi) is seen as one of the potential aspirants this time around.
Top Igbo politicians have actually come out to tell Nigerians about their bids to lead the country. Mr. Orji Uzor Kalu and Mr. Dave Umahi have declared ambition on APC platform.
At the same time Mr. Anyim Pius Anyim, a former president of the House of Senate and Mr. Sam Ohuabunwa are looking forward to clinching the PDP’s ticket.
A tweep had dragged Mr. Peter Obi on the popular social media platform. He said that if at the end of the month Obi doesn’t declare his ambition, he will drag him to court.
The tweep with username @FakeBuhari said, “Sir, if at the end of this month and you don’t declare interest for presidency in the 2023 election, then be ready for a legal action from me”.
Peter Obi responded the tweep. He said that he didn’t have money for court case. He asked the Twitter user to give him some time.
The former governor would have told the user that he didn’t have interest in the job. He demanded just more time.
The implication of his response is that Mr. Peter Obi is still consulting and looking at his chances of winning the election.
If he eventually decides to contest first for the PDP’s ticket, he will face tough northerners including Bukola Saraki and Bala Mohammed.
Even Mr. Atiku Abubakar may return to the race. Peter Obi must still be checking his odds and chances in the race for the presidential villa.
