Amidst rumours surrounding the APC ticket and 2023 presidency, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and former Lagos State governor Bola Tinubu have met in Bauchi State.
The two top personalities in the All Progressives Congress and in Nigeria as a whole met in the northeastern state for a wedding ceremony. They were in Bauchi for the wedding ceremony of the education Minister’s daughter, Fatima Adamu.
The wedding ceremony was attended by mostly governors of the All Progressives Congress and other top echelons in the party including the Senate President Ahmed Lawan.
According to Punch Newspaper, other dignitaries included Bala Mohammed; Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi; Jigawa State, Mohammed Abubakar; Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, Borno State; Babagana Zulum; Plateau State; Simon Lalong, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, among others.
The meeting between Tinubu and Osinbajo could be a coincidence because the two men are seen as possible candidate of the APC. Tinubu helped Osinbajo to become the vice president of the country.
While neither of the two men has openly talked about the 2023 bid, campaign posters of Osinbajo have been seen in Abuja and in Ekiti State. And several groups and movements are pushing the ambitions of the two.
